1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TXT2CAR (txt2car.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. TXT2CAR is operated by Aerostato.net. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. Your continued use of the platform constitutes your unconditional acceptance of these Terms in their entirety.

2. Description of Service

TXT2CAR is a license-plate messaging platform that allows users to leave and receive text notes associated with vehicle license plates. The service is provided free of charge for basic use. Aerostato.net reserves the right to introduce paid features in the future. TXT2CAR is a communication tool only. It is not affiliated with any law enforcement agency, government authority, insurance company, or emergency service.

3. Road Safety — Absolute Prohibition on Use While Driving

Do not use TXT2CAR while operating a vehicle. Ever.

Reading, writing, or interacting with TXT2CAR in any way while driving or operating any vehicle is dangerous, potentially fatal, and may be illegal in your jurisdiction. Aerostato.net expressly disclaims all liability — including for death, personal injury, property damage, moral damages, psychological harm, fines, criminal charges, and any other legal consequence — arising directly or indirectly from the use of TXT2CAR while driving or operating any vehicle. You assume full, exclusive, and irrevocable responsibility for any such use. Always bring your vehicle to a complete and safe stop before using this service. By using TXT2CAR, you acknowledge that you have read this warning and agree to comply with it at all times.

4. Emergency Situations

TXT2CAR is not an emergency service and must not be used in place of contacting emergency services.

If you witness an accident, criminal activity, or any situation requiring immediate assistance, call your local emergency number (such as 112, 911, or 999) immediately. Do not attempt to use TXT2CAR to report emergencies.

5. Road Rage, Harassment Between Drivers, and Prohibited Conduct

TXT2CAR is strictly a constructive communication platform. It must not be used to escalate conflicts between drivers.

You expressly agree NOT to use TXT2CAR to:

  • Send threatening, intimidating, or aggressive messages to another driver or vehicle owner, including messages that could reasonably be interpreted as inciting road rage or physical confrontation.
  • Retaliate against another driver for any perceived incident on the road.
  • Stalk, track, or monitor any individual or vehicle.
  • Send messages designed to cause emotional distress, fear, or psychological harm.
  • Incite violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
  • Share another person's personal information without their consent (doxxing).
  • Use the platform as a substitute for contacting emergency services. If there is an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
  • Make false reports about vehicles, accidents, or individuals.
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any individual.
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

Aerostato.net reserves the right to remove any content and permanently suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. Violations may also be reported to law enforcement authorities where required by law or deemed appropriate.

6. Assumption of Risk and Nature of the Platform

By using TXT2CAR, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Notes are sent by registered members of the public. Aerostato.net does not verify the identity, intentions, or mental state of any user.
  • The content of notes is entirely the responsibility of the individual who wrote them. Aerostato.net is not the author, editor, or publisher of any user-generated note.
  • You may receive notes that are unwanted, offensive, or distressing. You have tools available (block, flag, delete) to manage such content.
  • The inherent nature of a license-plate messaging service involves contact from strangers: by registering your license plate on the platform you accept this risk.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use TXT2CAR. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 16, please do not register or use this service.

8. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@aerostato.net if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

9. Content Moderation and Reporting

Aerostato.net operates a user-driven moderation system. Users may flag inappropriate notes for review by our team. We review flagged content and may remove it at our discretion. However, Aerostato.net does not and cannot guarantee the review or removal of all potentially harmful content, and is not liable for any harm caused by content that has not yet been reviewed or removed. If you believe content on our platform violates applicable law, please contact us at info@aerostato.net.

10. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the notes and content you post. By submitting content to TXT2CAR, you grant Aerostato.net a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

The TXT2CAR name, logo, and platform design are the intellectual property of Aerostato.net. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TXT2CAR is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Aerostato.net does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Aerostato.net makes no warranty that the service will meet your requirements or that any content on the platform is accurate, complete, or appropriate. Use of the platform is entirely at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aerostato.net, its operators, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or moral damages of any kind arising from your use of — or inability to use — TXT2CAR. This includes without limitation:

  • Any accident, injury, death, or property damage caused directly or indirectly by use of TXT2CAR while driving or operating a vehicle.
  • Any psychological harm, emotional distress, or moral damages suffered as a result of notes received through the platform.
  • Any road rage incident, confrontation, or altercation arising from notes sent or received via TXT2CAR.
  • Any loss of data, revenue, reputation, or goodwill.
  • Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
  • Any conduct, statements, or content of third parties on the platform, including threatening, offensive, or false notes.
  • Any failure or delay by Aerostato.net to remove content that has been reported.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, Aerostato.net's liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aerostato.net and its operators, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of TXT2CAR; (b) any note or content you submit; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (e) your violation of any third-party rights. This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your account and these Terms.

14. Modifications to the Service

Aerostato.net reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue TXT2CAR (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TXT2CAR after any changes constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TXT2CAR shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
